The FEMST Impact Analysis Report assesses the efficacy of an innovative training package designed to enhance the skills development of teachers, educators, and career counsellors, with the objective of fostering a dynamic and inclusive STEM learning environment for girls. The FEMST initiative is designed to equip female students with the skills and knowledge to become future leaders in STEM fields, while simultaneously promoting the adoption of interdisciplinary teaching approaches that can be applied to other educational contexts, including those related to culture, the environment, and the economy. The project was coordinated by the Digital Literacy and Social Inclusion Hub (DLSI) in Santarém, which brought together a diverse consortium of partners, including schools, universities, research centres, social enterprises, and child rights networks, to facilitate the effective delivery of its objectives.

The fourth work package (WP4) of the FEMST project placed a particular emphasis on engaging at least 300 individuals working in STEM fields and on providing 150 educators with training resources to disseminate the project's outcomes. This initiative is aligned with the horizontal priority of developing STEM/STEAM in higher education, with a particular focus on female participation. The utilisation of innovative digital tools and pedagogical methods, including the Training Toolbox, lesson plan activities for primary education, and the STEM Ambassadors programme, constituted a pivotal element in the creation of relatable role models and the inspiration of younger generations.

The impact evaluation comprised the administration of pre- and post-training questionnaires to assess outcomes across a range of dimensions, including pedagogical, scientific, societal, policy, technological, and economic. The findings offer a comprehensive analysis of the knowledge, skills, and competencies developed by participants. This report consolidates these insights, validating FEMST's commitment to promoting STEM education and fostering a pipeline of empowered women ready to lead in STEM disciplines.
