Given the widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) and its progressive impact in the work and learning context, it is essential to examine how students perceive its impact. The objective of this research is to examine the perceptions of university students about generative AI (GIA), specifically with respect to the ChatGPT language model in the Audiovisual Narrative subject (3rd year) of the Audiovisual Communication degree within the framework of a teaching innovation project developed at the University of Valencia by the IAcom group. This group investigates the possible uses of GAI both in the classroom and in the work environments of future communication professionals. This study focuses on the indicators obtained from a structured questionnaire that asks about aspects such as the impact on employability, learning and the ethical challenges it entails. The sample consists of 43 responses. The results reveal an ambivalent attitude among university students, who see both opportunities and risks in the implementation of GIA. The findings suggest that it is necessary to prepare students for the ethical and responsible use of these technologies.
