O. Ajayi
The educational landscape has changed as a result of the swift development and incorporation of technology, especially at the university level. Today's first-year university students live in a highly digitalized world with digital textbooks, virtual classrooms, online learning environments, and a variety of educational technology. While there are many advantages to using technology in education, like easier access to resources and more customised learning opportunities, there are also new dynamics and problems that can have a big impact on students' academic paths and career choices. A thorough analysis of pertinent literature on the impact of the educational technology adoption on the career choices of first-year university students was conducted. According to the research, students' preferences for technology-driven careers are shifting, skill acquisition is influenced, and adoption of technology increases awareness of new career fields. In an increasingly digital world, institutions could match their instructional tactics to students' career aspirations.
