The article examines the effect of the symbiosis between technology and art in the contemporary narrative, in the context of the role of artificial intelligence on the visual arts, trends in art education, and visual communication. The principles, methods, and means of working with artificial intelligence are traced, as well as the historical development of generative models for creating autonomous images and their manifestations, on students' and pupils' knowledge, skills, and competencies. In post-postmodern artistic creativity, the range of conventional means of expression is expanded by utilizing textual commands in the direction of the non-visual to achieve an unreal artistic impact. These non-traditional approaches overturn the notions of creating an artistic production. Some discussion questions are raised about copyright, norms, control, and aesthetic value of AI-generated images. An important focus is the impact on contemporary culture, visual communication, and the specific opportunities AI provides for art education learning. From the studies made, the conclusions stand out that at the moment AI is a new tool with access to a large database, which enables faster execution of tasks and contributes to increasing interest in visual art. It is noted that AI is directly dependent on natural intelligence. The better and higher the education of the individual who works with AI, proportionally the better the end product. The development of creative potential and visual literacy in the use of AI gives a much better result when used with advanced students or students who have acquired and strengthened their artistic knowledge and skills. Knowledge of its possibilities enriches the methodological toolkit.
