The objective of this study is to develop educational experiences through the use of a robotic arm as a teaching resource in university programs related to Mechatronics Engineering. It is important to highlight that teaching and learning proposals in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) present a challenge, especially in integrating theory with practice, to maintain student motivation throughout their educational process. This initiative is based on a constructivist perspective and promotes active learning through the use of Digital Technologies (DT), specifically robotic devices. With a methodological design combining case study and action research, two laboratory practices were planned and implemented at the National University of Rafaela in Argentina, aimed at undergraduate and pre-undergraduate students. Both activities integrated theoretical and practical aspects, focusing on the QArm robotic arm and the MATLAB platform. The evaluation of the proposal confirmed its alignment with existing literature, showing a correlation between the practical experience with the robot and student motivation, as well as their preference for this type of learning approach. Additionally, limitations related to the knowledge required for developing such activities were identified, which led to the formulation of improvement proposals within the context of a course in a higher education program.
