Swimming is a monstructural cyclic activity that is also one of the healthiest physical activities due to its positive impact on the entire body. If we want to engage in swimming for any purpose (sport, recreation), we must undergo a non-swimmer training program. Various factors can influence the non-swimmer training program. Previous research has focused on different topics related to the impact of these factors on the quality of the program, with only a few studying the influence of aids. The aim of this research was to determine the impact of using aids in non-swimmer training on the level of swimming knowledge acquisition. The secondary objective was to determine if there were statistically significant differences in the level of swimming knowledge acquisition between children from urban and rural environments, as well as any potential differences based on gender. The research was conducted on a sample of 106 participants aged 10 and 11, both male and female. The inclusion criterion for children in the study was that they were non-swimmers. The children completed a questionnaire indicating whether they were swimmers or non-swimmers, and their parents provided consent for their participation in the research. Subsequently, an initial assessment of the children's swimming knowledge was conducted, and the non-swimmers were directed to a 10-day (20 instructional hours) non-swimmer training program. The children were divided into two subgroups. One group used aids during the non-swimmer training, while the other did not. After the research was conducted, no difference in the level of swimming knowledge acquisition was found between the children who learned to swim with aids and those who underwent non-swimmer training without the use of aids. Additional statistical analyses revealed a statistically significant difference in swimming progress between participants from urban and rural environments.
