Managing conflict within school organizations is an important aspect of effective school management and a healthy educational environment. In situations where tensions and misunderstandings can arise from interactions between students, teachers, parents and support staff, conflict management skills are essential to maintaining a climate conducive to learning. Conflict in school environments can have many sources, from interpersonal differences to disagreements about learning. It is important to recognize that conflictual situations can arise naturally and that dealing with them in a constructive manner can help with personal development and improve relationships within the school community.

Conflict management in school organizations involves the integration of several tools and methods designed to facilitate dispute resolution and foster collaboration. Therefore, effective conflict management is not only about alleviating immediate tensions, but also about cultivating an organizational culture conducive to constructive resolution of differences.

Key goals of conflict management in schools include encouraging open communication, fostering empathy, promoting problem solving, and strengthening relationships among all members of the educational community. Through strategic conflict resolution, schools can become environments where students learn not only academically but also basic social skills. In this paper, both positive and negative tools for managing organizational conflict in schools will be presented, with an emphasis on creating a supportive atmosphere where learning and collaboration can flourish and where community members feel supported and understood.

The current work is scientifically based by analyzing the specialized literature on the issue of conflicts at the level of the school organization. The purpose of this paper is to observe and analyze the way in which high school students relate to the concepts of conflict and conflict management, at the same time highlighting their behaviors naturally provoked by such situations, but also the measures that are taken by educational institutions in this sense. Thus, research was carried out, based on a questionnaire that was applied in representative high school education units. The research was carried out between May 13, 2024 and June 20, 2024, with a total number of respondents of 162 people.
