Context and Objective:
Attitudes are a set of ideas, feelings, opinions, and predispositions that guide people's actions towards a specific object, in this case, research. Given their fundamental role in learning processes, this study focuses on examining attitudes towards research (ATR) among students in Faculties of Education in Spain, considering variations by gender, degree or field of study, and the relationship between these attitudes and previous academic performance.

Instrument and Methodology:
To measure ATR, the Attitudes towards Research Questionnaire (EACIN_R) was validated, identifying three key factors:

Vocation towards research:
Valuation of research.
Disinterest in research.
The study adopted a quantitative, non-experimental design, applying the questionnaire to a sample of 370 students from degrees in Pedagogy, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Social Education (including double degrees) at the Salesian University CES Don Bosco, affiliated with Complutense University of Madrid.

Data Analysis:
The collected data were analyzed using descriptive, correlational, and inferential statistics, utilizing the Student's t-test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to identify significant differences between groups.

Key Findings:
Vocation towards research: This factor measures the personal inclination and genuine interest in research activities.
Valuation of research: This factor assesses the perception of the importance and usefulness of research in academic and professional training.
Disinterest in research: This factor captures the lack of interest or aversion to research.

Conclusions:
The study provides a detailed understanding of attitudes towards research among Education students, revealing how these can vary based on variables such as gender and field of study, as well as their relationship with previous academic performance. The findings can inform educational strategies to foster a more positive attitude towards research, essential for the academic and professional development of future educators.

This summary highlights the importance of attitudes in the educational process and provides a basis for future research and improvements in research training programs within Faculties of Education.
