Emotional challenges, including increased anxiety, stress, and feelings of isolation, characterize the shift towards online learning environments. These issues interfere with perfect academic performance and general wellbeing. This paper attempts to theorize how cognitive-behavioral therapy would perform in strengthening emotional regulation and eventually building resilience within an online learning environment from a clinical psychology perspective. It exemplifies core CBT techniques of cognitive restructuring, mindfulness, and behavioral activation in reducing negative emotions among students and eventually developing adaptive behaviors. Furthermore, the authors explain exploring the avenues that could possibly integrate CBT into online education settings through workshops, engaging modules, and peer support programs. Based on these principles derived from CBT, educators and institutions can go a long way in supporting students in acquiring competencies that will enable them to succeed within online learning settings. It is a heuristic approach seeking to close the gap between clinical psychology and educational practice in giving practical bases for students' resilience enhancement in emotional regulation.
