In a context of growing scarcity, the new paradigm in efficient water management is based on the digitalization of hydraulic infrastructures in order to optimize the management of the resource in all its possible dimensions. One of the key factors in facing the new challenges faced by companies in the urban water cycle is the shortage of qualified technical personnel. Vocational training is called upon to play a fundamental role in providing quality training that is technically up-to-date and aligned with the needs of the productive and service sectors, seeking dialogue and collaboration with companies. This mission entails the adoption of innovative teaching-learning strategies and methods and the development of innovative teaching resources.

This article presents the Digital Water Learning Hub project, whose purpose is to generate a cloud platform that allows vocational training students to manage and operate physical pilot plants remotely, simulating a remote control as a resource for the acquisition of skills in water digitalization.

The project proposed by the Secondary School Institute Beatriu Fajado de Mendoza, the Institute Pere Martell with the collaboration of the company Fomento Agrícola de Castellón, SA (FACSA) has been selected in the call for grants aimed at carrying out applied innovation and research projects and knowledge transfer in vocational training of 2023 of the MInisterio de Educación, Formación Profesional y Deporte of Spain.
