The medical education system in Romania, both state and private, prepares specialists in multiple specializations and medical fields in a curricular context developed and justified based on current European regulations. Thus, the development of a specialist who meets the current needs in the medical field in relation to the trends and concerns regulated at the European level based on the criteria and educational policies in the field is pursued.

The educational policies currently in place are similar and recognized in all EU member states. We are therefore witnessing a globalization of training, the difference being given by the impact and personal character supported by the beneficiaries of the educational system. Even if the effective training of young doctors requires a long-term effort, the motivation for the medical profession is both internal and external. The recognition of this profession is regulated by the rules in force at the European level and corresponds to European and world criteria and requirements.

In recent years, the Romanian medical education system has become more and more attractive for student from Romania and even from abroad. However, there is an extremely present trend regarding the migration of medical graduates to countries such as France, Germany or UK. The current work scientifically investigates this phenomenon, making a multilateral analysis regarding the motivation regarding the desire to migrate of medical graduates, the choice of the destination to which they migrate, the impact at the community level that they have and last but not least the pressure that this phenomenon exerts on the Romanian educational system.

The results of our research are converted to proposals for changes regarding current educational policies and for encouraging high school graduates to pursue a career in the medical field. Also, the results of our research indicate an acute need regarding the creation of an integrated platform for communication and medical services both for specialists in the field and for the direct beneficiaries of medical services, regardless of their country, communication or linguistic area.
