The quality of leadership needs to be the main focus across all shifts because excellence is an important dimension towards the sustainability of the education agenda. The fourth Sustainable Development Goal in The 2030 Agenda for Sustained Development Goals (SDGs) aims to offer quality education across the globe. School leadership is a driver of the effectiveness of school administration. Therefore, the excellence of school leaders in leading school management is seen as being able to translate the school's mission and vision towards the excellence of its organisation. Sustainable leadership practices among school leaders are seen as an important element in the successful implementation of the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 towards improving effective leadership practices. This study aims to identify the level of sustainable leadership practices of primary school headmasters in the Sebangan Zone, Simunjan District, Sarawak. A quantitative design with a survey concept has already been implemented in this study. A total of 33 respondents were selected randomly and used as a sample in this study. The results were analysed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 26.0 application. Findings show that the level of sustainable leadership practices of headmasters is at a high level (mean = 4.263). This study is expected to benefit the Ministry of Education (MOE) Malaysia with recommendations towards improving policy implementation and competency training through the 5th shift in the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025, which is to ensure that effective and high-performing leadership is placed in schools.
