In the digital age, future-oriented skills play a major role in education and business. The management and transfer of know-how play a decisive role in this. In order to develop these skills and secure knowledge, digital learning comes into consideration. This article examines the new method of digital learning, how it is accepted in companies as an example and what action needs to be taken.

The scientific basis for these studies is formed by influencing factors and acceptance models in the context of e-learning. Personnel, contextual and motivational factors are examined as influencing factors on the acceptance of e-learning in companies. The framework conditions include, for example, access to digital teaching materials independent of time and location, more efficient and effective knowledge transfer, and sustainable added value for both employees and the company.

Applied research methods are quantitative, basic scientific (independent), non-experimental, without repeated measures. The sample size comprises N = 189 participants.

Two important research results can be achieved:
1. Skill development: personal (r = .58, p < .01), contextual (r = .43, p < .01) and motivational factors (r = .62, p < .01) have a significant influence on attitudinal acceptance of e-learning in the company within a model (r = .62, p < .01).
2. Knowledge transfer: Measures for a beneficial and lasting use of e-learning for further training purposes in the company must be ensured. To this end, the four fields of action "Organization", "Culture", "Empowerment" and "Technology" were defined with practical measures.

Keywords: Digital learning, education, business, future skills, knowhow transfer.
