Modern education is increasingly called upon to address a variety of issues, including curriculum development, technology integration, interdisciplinary collaboration, ethical considerations, and most importantly, teacher development and training. Addressing these issues requires a multifaceted approach that includes institutional initiatives, government engagement, and the concerted efforts of educators and industry stakeholders. This comprehensive strategy is needed to ensure that engineering education, among others, can adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment, thereby equipping future engineers with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the complex challenges of the 21st century.

This article analyzes the experience of engineering educators who use advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to improve engineering education and promote interdisciplinary connections. By integrating BIM technologies, educators can not only improve the educational experience, but also integrate environmental considerations into engineering disciplines. Using the resources of Erasmus projects is very effective not only for developing and strengthening international connections of partner educational institutions, but also an excellent opportunity to generate new approaches in engineering education for more effective training of future specialists. Based on detailed studies of the results of three Erasmus projects - in the field of higher education and short-term mobility of students and teachers, and an analysis of the feedback received from project participants - teachers and students, the article demonstrates the impact of using BIM on learning outcomes, as an excellent visualization tool and a key tool for bridging the gaps between engineering disciplines, ensuring sustainability and enriching the overall educational base for future engineers.

This proactive approach takes into account the changing needs of modern society, illustrating a far-sighted response to today's educational and societal challenges.
