Three main factors are developed in the questionnaire: knowledge, beliefs and attitudes. The Delphi method is used to develop the first version of the questionnaire. A total of 31 experts participate in the validation process. Content validity ratio is analyzed through the Lawshe method. An inter-rater agreement of .71 is obtained showing a moderate degree of agreement among experts. A Cronbach’s alpha value of .81 was reported through a pilot sample of 60 students who answered the questionnaire showing a consistent reliability of the final version of the questionnaire. The values obtained for both, the inter-expert degree agreement and the reliability of the questionnaire show that the instrument developed in this research is reliable and properly validated. The main conclusion of this study is that a 17-item questionnaire with consistent reliability was validated for its use in research in the field of sexual and gender diversity in Higher Education.
