Abstract:
This paper presents experiences in the implementation of different types of assessment after online instruction due to COVID crisis and constrains. Students of the professional study at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek participated in the research. Although the introduction of online teaching and the type of knowledge assessment came unplanned and abruptly, such an experience certainly pushes our limits, not only in terms of the type of knowledge assessment, but also in terms of the type of teaching and learning.

In this paper, we will analyse three different types of knowledge assessment in different courses: an online assessment in mathematics, a live written exam in a foreign language, and quizzes for self- assessment of knowledge in some professional courses. In addition, a questionnaire about students' attitudes toward online assessment was conducted in the mathematics course. The questionnaire contained open and closed (Likert scale) questions. The results showed that the online exams were more interesting for the students than the traditional exams. However, it is not possible to conclude from the results which type of exam (online or classical) they prefer. They also indicated problems with navigating the system and writing mathematical expressions on the computer.
