Abstract:
Objective: To contribute to sustainable development in the region by improving health and quality of life of the people, seeking to eradicate poverty. The University of Veracruz through linkage projects carried out with the society contributes to the Sustainable Development of the region, improving health and lifestyles mainly preventive actions and intervention at different levels. The objectives of these projects are: Generating spaces for strengthening professional training of students through school practices, social service and research to propose alternative solutions to social problems of the community. Are currently conducted by internal and external linking, in coordination with the Vice-Rector, disciplinary projects and multidisciplinary approach to the problems of the region comprehensively. The region has 276 projects, 289 Activities, Academic and participation of 448 students registered in 2416 SIVU (Institutional Linkage System). For what it aims at achieving and external institutional support to enable scholars and students actively participate in these projects. With the presence of the Universidad Veracruzana in different sectors of the region, taking the essential purpose of providing through teaching, research and extension services and knowledge that is generated in it, participates extensively in support of sustainable development in the region, the state and country.
