Abstract:
Scientific evidence shows that the integration of technology, pedagogy, and disciplinary content is a success factor for teaching performance and educational development, and it is essential to have tools that allow for an in-depth understanding of this process. In this regard, almost all questionnaires of this type are in English, and there is very little scientific production on it in Latin America, requiring instruments in Spanish, aligned with the culture of the Latin American educational ecosystem. From this reality, the objective of this study is the translation, cultural adaptation, and validation of Valtonen and collaborators in 2017 Questionnaire on Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge for 21st Century Skills (TPACK-21), with the adaptation model culture for self-report measures and the cultural adaptation model and validation of health questionnaires. The process has been developed in two phases, the first included two direct translations into Spanish, a synthesis report, two reverse translations, the consolidation of a pre-final questionnaire, the report of the committee of experts in linguistics, technology, and methodology; and pre-application to verify feasibility and applicability. The second phase involved the validity study. The translated questionnaire was applied to 221 Regular Basic Education teachers in Lima Perú. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the 6 dimensions of Valtonen TPACK-21 model, at the same time confirming high reliability. It is recommended to continue with research that measures TPACK-21 in various contexts and educational levels, especially in Latin America. Likewise, it is suggested to expand the studies of TPACK-21 with qualitative techniques to achieve a better understanding of the levels and underlying aspects, as well as the construction of the meaning and significance of the TPACK-21 in teachers; This will make it possible to promote efficient continuous training programs that integrate Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge and 21st century skills.
