Session Details:
This hands-on workshop will focus on the use of Google’s tools in innovative ways for those who train others to learn how to use technology. Join Wendy, a Google Certified Innovator, Trainer, and Program Manager for Google and she reveals the Google Education Trainer application guidelines and timelines, and then turns to attendees’ goals and needs in mind. Starting there, the evening will be formed by authentic training projects, scenarios, video recording of a lesson, project showcase, sample coaching lesson festival, and final prize for “Spain’s Top Trainer!”

We will also discuss interactively influencing organizational change, design professional learning, implement best coaching practices, planning for engaging trainer Sessions, Facilitate with Professionalism, Integrate Google Tools and Deepen Your Knowledge of Google for EDU.

Learning objectives:

  • Hands-on overview of Google for Education Certified Trainer Curriculum in a demo domain, including: Implementing Google Tools in the classroom, such as Drive, Classroom, Docs, Hangouts, Groups, Calendar, and Chrome
  • Engaging adult learners with a toolkit of personalized training strategies
  • Training Essentials Exam overview and voucher to take on your own time
  • Preparation of a training video showcasing your training style 
  • Roundtable discussion of coaching and training best practices and a chance to give your own training and receive 1:1 feedback
  • Creating and delivering effective training plans
  • Creating your own training video with free screencasting software
  • Influencing organizational change

All attendees will also receive Google Cardboard for a bonus Virtual Reality in the Classroom session, a backpack, and their own tripod for recording videos, a digital Rocketbook for digital notetaking, and a backpack of choice. Also, they will receive a voucher to take the Trainer Course Certification exam to become a Google Education Trainer.

Target audience:
The session will be intended for a global audience of teachers, school leaders, and IT managers (with varying technology skills).
