G.G. Guadarrama Medina, R. Garcia Cortes
The use of bibliometric tools is essential for analyzing and visualizing the relationship between scientific publications on the automotive industry and topics such as the environment, sustainable development, and technology. In this study, Scopus and Web of Science (WOS) databases were used for searching and gathering relevant information sources. These tools enabled the identification and analysis of scientific articles, conferences, and patents related to sustainability in the automotive industry.
The methodology included the consultation of information sources using specific keywords and the acquisition of data through accessible digital libraries on the web. The data collected were processed using VOSviewer, a software tool for building and visualizing bibliometric networks. VOSviewer facilitated the creation of co-citation maps, co-authorship networks, and keyword co-occurrence, allowing the identification of patterns and trends in scientific research.
The analysis revealed a strong interconnection between research in the automotive industry and sustainable development topics, highlighting the increasing focus on clean technologies and electric vehicles. Additionally, the study showed how this research contributes to the formation of environmental policies and technological advancements in the automotive sector.
