This study conducts a comparative analysis between two widely used presentation software, PowerPoint, and Prezi, aiming to explore their effectiveness and suitability in educational settings. This research approach can be described as a comparative study applied in the field of information and communication technology, aiming to evaluate and compare two type of presentation, made with PowerPoint, and Prezi. This involves analyzing and comparing the performance and use of these programs for creating and delivering presentations. The methodology is based on an experimental or comparative study in which the authors assessed the advantages and disadvantages of each program by putting them through training and real-world use. Also this study highlights common aspects and different aspects between the two analyzed softwares. Participants underwent initial training sessions, accessing tutorials and materials for each platform before creating presentations. Post-presentation discussions and evaluations were conducted to gather insights into the experiences, preferences, and challenges faced by participants with each platform. The analysis focuses on key criteria such as structure and navigation, flexibility and design, interactivity and animations, accessibility and collaboration, compatibility and integration, cost and availability, usage and learning curve.

The results show that there are notable differences in visual dynamism, structure, and interactivity between Prezi and PowerPoint. Prezi offers a more fluid, nonlinear navigation that boosts creativity and engagement, while PowerPoint adheres to a traditional linear style with precise animation control. Compatibility, accessibility, and collaborative aspects are also different. By highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of both instruments in instructional presentations, this comparative analysis seeks to assist teachers and students. Comprehending these differences enhances decision-making and improves the efficacy of instructional materials. Despite the similarities and differences between the two programs, the choice between PowerPoint and Prezi depends on the individual preferences and specific needs of the user. As could be observed from this study, each program has distinct advantages and disadvantages, and the selection depends on the purpose and the preferred presentation style of the user.

By pointing out the best practices for creating and delivering presentations during the learning process, this comparison of Prezi vs PowerPoint can have a big impact on the education sector. By recognizing the benefits of each program, teachers may change their pedagogy and provide students with greater choice and flexibility in their education. It is possible to improve student engagement and attention by using more dynamic and interesting presentations, which will facilitate understanding and memory of the material.

By suggesting students to use several types of programs for their presentations, teachers help students acquire practical skills in using different presentation programs, improving their technological and digital skills. Thus, Prezi is a less conventional method that encourages students to think creatively and develop their creativity in their presentations.
