Health is not limited only to the absence of disease, but implies a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. The general objective of this study was to determine the relationship of anxiety with inattention in students of a private university. The sample consisted of 140 private university students. The questionnaire technique was applied with its respective data collection instrument, through 2 tests or questionnaires. The first was the Beck anxiety test (BAI) with 18 items or questions in order to identify university students with anxiety; the second was the Conners test with 24 items or questions in order to identify university students with attention deficit. As a result, attention and organization problems are directly linked to the level of anxiety in students, since as physical, cognitive and emotional anxiety increases, attention deficit also increases (p=0.001). Concluding that there is a strong relationship between anxiety and inattention in university students, since physical, cognitive and emotional anxiety are directly associated.
