AI isn’t going anywhere. Time for us to use these tools for our benefit! This interactive session will explore AI tools designed to streamline our workflow as well as generate engaging classroom activities and assignments. We’ll do practical demonstrations and use real-classroom examples. This session will equip educators with the skills (and confidence!) to integrate AI into their teaching practices while maintaining academic integrity and fostering student curiosity.
Target: Undergraduate instructors
Level: Beginning to medium comfort with various AI tools (not for experts!)
Outcomes: By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify AI tools that can assist with time-consuming tasks, such as grading, content creation, and administrative duties.
- Apply AI-driven strategies to develop engaging, innovative assignments tailored to undergraduate learning outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of AI tools in supporting student engagement and academic success.
- Incorporate AI tools ethically and effectively into their teaching practices while addressing concerns about academic integrity and student autonomy.
